Statement of Company Aims, Principles & Practice
Compass have a highly experienced and professional group of staff dedicated to the welfare of our students. Compass Education was founded as part of Linx Education, with offices in Watford (UK) and throughout mainland China, Linx has been operating a student recruitment and placement service for over 20 years. During this time the need for a pastoral care aspect of the business has grown significantly. Initially working in the University Sector, a gradual move to school and College placement led to the provision of full Guardianship Services and the foundation of Compass Education.
We operate principally in London and the South East of England. Our Directors are highly experienced in UK education and the pastoral care of international students. We have a team of caring professionals who work closely with our partner schools and host families and are fully trained in safeguarding, all dedicated to providing a safe and caring environment for our students and a high quality standard of service that ensures our parents can enjoy peace of mind.

Our team
Compass has guardians operating in key areas throughout the UK. Each student is allocated their personal Guardian for their care throughout their time in UK. The Guardians work as a Team and there is always someone available at any time day or night to help. With a dedicated bi-lingual Guardian coordinator operating in our offices in China and bi-lingual advisors in UK, communication could not be easier for parents, schools and students.
Standard
Standard Guardianship is a service that provides for the needs of those older/ more mature students who don’t require full Pastoral Care, but need a guardian contact in case of emergency.
Pastoral Care
Service provides all the benefits of the Standard Guardianship with the addition of full Pastoral Care support at the times it matters most.
Guidance and Pastoal Care
Full Guardianship support plus Education advice and support. A fully personalised Educational Management Service ensuring the correct decisions are being made at each stage of the student's education.
Safeguarding
At Compass Education we take our safeguarding responsibility seriously. On registering with us in our Chinese office we put our families under the care of local experienced staff in UK. We can take care of all the family's needs during the students stay in UK. All of our staff are fully trained in caring for our students. We comply with the regulations on safeguarding and recruit our families under the framework of safer recruitment guidelines.
